
NWCA History
Ever since its humble beginning in 1953, National Wood Carvers Association has
shown remarkable success and growth, boasting members in every
NWCA's aims are to promote the woodcarving fellowship among its members, encourage exhibitions and area get-togethers, list tool and wood suppliers, and find markets for those who sell their work - in short, anything that aids the carver and/or whittler.
Many distinguished professional wood-carvers in the U.S. and abroad share their know-how with fellow members. NWCA proudly lists several internationally famous authors of carving books on its roster.

Use email for general correspondence, letters to the editor, requests for local club information, to find out more about our annual sources issue, for address changes and updates… Just about anything that doesn’t involve payments… (see our Member Services page for instructions on some of the common types of correspondence).
By the way, there have been some emails that get “filtered” off by our email provider as “suspected spam.” Please don’t take that personally if yours happens to be one of them. After you’ve sent us an email at the address above, if you haven’t heard back from the office staff within a day or two of sending your email, you can try again or try our snail mail address below.
Finally, as much as we love working on this
magazine there are times when we are away on vacation. If you haven’t
heard from us in a day or two around a major US Holiday (like the 4th
of July or New Year’s), be patient. We’ll be back at work and our
email soon, and you’ll get a response via email as soon as possible.
